About Me

My Background

Hi There!

I'm Scott and I’ve built my career around helping others find theirs. My professional journey started when I was fifteen working summers on a farm and from there I worked food and customer service roles full-time while studying in undergraduate prior to shifting to higher education admissions after graduating.

This practical professional background rooted in real world experience paired with the academic knowledge and training provides a 360° perspective on what it takes to thrive in school and at work.

I dedicated five years to university admissions, guiding students through the application process and helping them identify the programs best aligned with their long-term career aspirations. . Along the way, I discovered that what truly energized me was that coaching aspect: working one-on-one with individuals to enable them with the confidence, resilience, skills, and knowledge to clarify and reach those goals. This brought me to my current role as an Assistant Director with the Feld Center for Career & Alumni Engagement at  Boston University's Questrom School of Business.

I’m curious and driven by a love of learning. I love diving deep into new topics and uncovering connections others might miss.

That is where you come in: I genuinely care about understanding your story and building a real connection so that we can develop the best plan together that will lead to your future goals.

My Approach

My coaching approach is conversational, personalized, and rooted in real-world insight. When you sit down to chat with me, you can expect a warm, down-to-earth conversation focused entirely on you. I like to start by understanding where you are and where you want to go: your goals, your interests, and your concerns.

My role is part mentor, part strategist, and part sounding board. I’ll likely ask an annoying degree of questions, actively listen to your story, and dive deep into topics that matter to you after our meeting. I will leverage my organizational insights to help you understand how companies and schools really operate, so you can work smarter within those systems.

Career and education decisions are daunting so I make sure our sessions are judgment-free and collaborative. These transitions can also be a source of hope and confidence when done correctly. I’m here to partner with you:

  • We’ll explore and uncover your strengths, values, and interests in depth, because I believe the most fulfilling career paths are those that align with who you genuinely are.
  • We’ll also get practical: I provide hands-on guidance with things like crafting resumes and cover letters that stand out, preparing for interviews with confidence, improving your networking and communication skills, and even navigating interpersonal dynamics in the workplace. Have a tricky situation with a coworker or uncertainty about workplace etiquette? We can role-play it or talk it through. Need help with a grad school personal statement? I’ll share insights from my admissions background to strengthen your story.

Ultimately, my approach is all about aligning your career with your authentic self. Clients often tell me they finish sessions with greater clarity, a sense of relief, and a concrete idea of what to do next. You’ll walk away not only with an action plan but also with more confidence in yourself.

I’m here to guide you through the big decisions and the small details alike, always with empathy, curiosity, and a focus on empowering you. Whether you’re a parent of a high school student just starting to help them find their path, a college student or recent grad gearing up for the “real world,” or a mid-career professional looking to take the next leap, I’ll be in your corner.

Together, we’ll not only figure out “what’s next” in your career, we’ll make sure it’s a step that genuinely resonates with you and sets you up for long-term success.

Let's get to work!
